10 Days left to go...

8/15/23

My Kickstarter campaign is in full swing and has only 10 DAYS left to go.

It feels like I've been on one wild and crazy ride. I am currently 41% funded which is amazing, but I lose the funding if I don't make my goal. I think I will though, with your help in sharing this valuable resource for middle schoolers.

Here's that link to share with your friends and family:

When Old School Meets New School

Along the lines of my book theme, I wanted to share a little story with you today.

Can you think of a time when you were gifted something very precious - something that had no monetary value but yet something that was priceless? Think about that for a minute.

Last weekend, we had the family together at the cabin & lake for one last hurrah before school started. I love family time, especially when siblings and cousins get together to make new memories and forge stronger relationships.

We have footstools in the living room where I had sat down to rest after the meal's cleanup. My feet were planted on the living room rug as I visited with the family. All of a sudden my youngest grandson, almost four years old, came from the pantry lugging an old crocheted footstool that once belonged to my grandma. He pushed that little stool between my feet and easily lifted each foot to rest upon it. And then he gave me a hug.

My heart melted as I felt tears stinging my eyes.

Of course, I made a huge deal of it, praising him for his generosity and kind-heartedness. He was quite proud of himself then, realizing what he did was a good thing. And from then on, he made every effort to make sure that when I was sitting down, he brought that old footstool for me to rest my feet again.

It feels good to be on the receiving end of kindnesses, doesn't it? It puts a smile on your face and restores, even if only briefly, your belief that there are still good folks in this old world.

I want to encourage you to go out of your way this week and do a little something for someone else. I bet you'll get a smile in return.

Let's make some ripples.

Sending love and light,

Lestie

These are the events on the near horizon:

  1. My Kickstarter ends on August 25th. Spread the news if you can. I need your help to succeed.

  2. I am going ahead with the print run this week so that you don't have to wait much longer for your copy of the book.
