The season is changing once again.
I pray this letter finds you and your family well. It's been almost two months since I reached out to say hello. How have you been?
Are you finding yourself scurrying around, trying to prepare for the upcoming holidays? Do you find you are overextended with an endless to-do list that flat-out exhausts you? Do you find your time is not your own?
Or, do you have a set schedule that balances you? Do you take time to rest and rejuvenate through prayer and gratitude? Are you the kind that brings calm to those around you?
For the last four months, I have been running constantly, barely able to keep up. I had the death of a dear aunt. There were a lot of loose ends that needed attention. I ran a successful Kickstarter campaign, went to a forty-year class reunion, attended my niece's wedding, got spoiled with a company-sponsored trip to Napa Valley, enjoyed a work/vacation up the coast of Oregon with my husband, got to see family along the way, and then an enjoyable road trip back to Arkansas with my best friend of over 47 years.
Since then, I've found that my formatting on my book was slightly off which didn't agree with Amazon or Ingram Spark's distribution guidelines. So, I've been a busy beaver working closely with a new team to help me get the problem resolved. In some act of God, my black & white paperback version slipped through Amazon's cracks and is now LIVE. The interesting thing about all this is I've had books printed as author copies from both platforms and the books look really good. It's been a challenge, to say the least.
I'm just now getting my feet under me again. I've taken the time to reflect on my many blessings, including my friends and family. So, I'm coming into a time of reflection and perspective - something I didn't have time for a couple of months ago. I missed my time of quiet reflection and prayer time at our beloved lake.
Can I share a little something that my husband and I have come to realize in the Autumn of our lives? PERSPECTIVE is everything. It may be hard to see it when you're going through the thick of it. But if you take a step back from the situation, breathe in a deep breath, and look around, I bet you'll find a way to move your mountain. And the more you do this, the easier it becomes. You see God is in all the details. His energy flows through every one of us. His desire for us is good.
These are the events past and on the near horizon:
1. I thought my eBook would be available for free for a time...and it will be through Kindle Unlimited. However, it turns out my book is so packed with activities and images, that the least I can charge right now is $2.99. I'm still working on that. I'll update you when I know more.
2. I don't have a release date for the color paperbacks yet. Once they are available for purchase on Amazon and Ingram Spark, I'll let you know. The good thing is I won't have to charge a small fortune because I lessened the printer paper weight by one size. That brought the price lower than I originally thought. Woohoo.
3. As I mentioned before, the black & white version is available for purchase on Amazon. I got the price down to $11.99 from $15.99. Super excited about that.
4. I have plenty of premium color coil-bound paperbacks available on my website HERE and NOW for $23.99. I had extras printed from Formax Printing for my Kickstarter campaign and they are gorgeous. Are you looking for Christmas gifts for families or kiddos? Now is the time to start thinking about ordering so you'll have them in time.
Sending love and light,
Lestie

Jesus spoke in this scripture to his disciples about the power of the mind to make things happen. I'd love to hear how God is revealing himself in your life. Email or drop me a text and let me know how you are doing. |
